The Liberty University Baseball team hosted Jacksonville State University April 10-12 in a three-game Conference USA (CUSA) series between two of the league’s top teams, winning the weekend 7-6 and 4-2 after a first game loss 8-4.

Pro athletes live their faith

Liberty University students gathered for Convocation Wednesday, April 8, and Friday, April 10, hearing from Savannah Bananas outfielder Coach RAC and members of the Bible Caddie Podcast. Each Convocation centered on identity and the pursuit of a life rooted in Christ rather than performance and success.

Liberty University alumna and sports commentator Samantha Ponder returned to Lynchburg for Convocation Nov. 12, and Liberty hosted a Veterans Day panel Nov. 14 both featuring messages that centered on calling, humility and dependence on God in every season.

Chasing riches or chasing peace – how to find rest in the stressful world of finances  

In a culture that celebrates financial independence, ambitious career goals and material success, the pursuit of a stable and wealthy lifestyle has become very attractive to young adults preparing to step out into the world. While financial responsibility is biblical and wise, the pursuit of wealth can become a heavy burden if it overshadows God’s invitation to rest and contentment.

Liberty Auto Show Shifts Into Gear

The fourth annual Liberty University Auto Show occurred Oct. 17-18 at the River Ridge Mall to showcase a lively display of automotive excellence and student initiative.  

As Virginia’s largest outdoor auto show, the event drew crowds of students, families and car enthusiasts from across Central Virginia.

Has music lost emotional depth?

Music just doesn’t seem to hit the same anymore. Every generation says that, but perhaps this time it’s true. In a world driven by streaming platforms, algorithms and viral sounds, songs still fill our ears but not always our hearts. Somewhere along the way, we may have traded emotional depth for instant gratification.

Bear Grylls and Doug DeVos inspire students with faith and purpose

Two powerful messages of courage and faith filled the Vines Center this week from adventurer and television personality Bear Grylls on Wednesday, and Amway Co-chairman Doug DeVos on Friday. Both speakers encouraged Liberty students to build their lives on faith and to live boldly for Christ.

The Comfortable Christian: Satan’s Favorite Trap

The danger of comfort in the Christian life is subtle but real. Many believers settle into a “safe” Christian routine: church on Sunday, quiet devotionals, avoiding controversy and otherwise living a relaxed life. Yet this comfort may be one of Satan’s most effective traps. 

The life of a disciple of Christ is in stark contrast with this complacency. The narrow path is not a path of ease; it is a path that requires constant correction and refocusing on Jesus as the model for how we should walk.

Liberty Men’s Soccer extends undefeated streak following a draw with JMU

The Liberty University Men’s Soccer team entered Saturday night’s contest against James Madison University fresh off a 2-1 victory over the Longwood University Lancers Sept. 10.

Carrying that momentum, the Flames kept their undefeated streak alive Sept. 13, battling the JMU Dukes in a 0-0 draw.
